Gardening is the inspriation for Leaf & twig series. The simple act of pruning, planting, digging in the dirt connect my spirit to nature bringing a calming quality that is also present the the leaf & twig series.

 A Touch of the Orient
A horizontal line representing a balanced & calm spirit is my signature mark for this simple and elegant series. My childhood home in the Midwest contained Japanese wood block print, hand carved figures, tea sets and other items my father had purchased when he lived in Japan. These touches of the orient have influenced my designs and my love of simple well placed lines.
